Discord Give Away Q4 2024

One of my favorite features of my paid newsletter is the discord channel to discuss ideas.

For those that haven’t heard of discord, think of it like a chat room. You can create a discord related to any niche interest (online gaming, sports gambling, value stocks, etc..). My discord is focused on stock spin-offs.

I find the discord channel helpful for three primary reasons.

1. More efficient Q&A.

My subscribers email me questions, and I answer every question that I receive. But if one subscriber is asking a question, it’s likely that my answer would be helpful to other subscribers.

So it’s much more efficient for all when subscribers ask me questions in the discord chat. Because my answer will be available for all to see.

Here’s an example of Q&A on a recent spin-off, Magnera (MAGN):

2. Organization of prior research.

Within the Stock Spin-off Investing Discord, I have a separate section for each open recommendation.

This is helpful because I can go back and review prior news.

This is especially helpful for legacy names that I’ve owned for a very long time, like IDT Corp (IDT).

3. Ideas from subscribers.

My favorite part of the Stock Spin-off Investing Discord Community is it provides an efficient way for subscribers to share ideas.

Some of these ideas are extremely valuable.

One user (rbraj14!) has been incredibly generous sharing ideas. His specialty is combining merger arbitrage and options.

Rbtraj14! has been so helpful that I decided to give him a full year subscription to Stock Spin-off Investing Premium.
